tubeCore 2.5, Vista Support and Price Change

tubeCore Upcoming Price Change Friday, October 7th

Unfortunately, there are economic realities that I must respond to. Cost increases and constantly adjusting to the competitive landscape have forced my hand. So, beginning midnight EST, Friday, October 7th, the price of tubeCore will change.

The new price is $9.99; up from $7.99. tubeCore will remain at the current price of $7.99 until then.

All existing tubeCore 2.x License Keys will work with tubeCore 2.5.

tubeCore 2.5 is Released

  • At long last we’ve uncovered an elusive bug in tubeCore that caused it to crash on Windows Vista.
  • When PlayOn is detected the Watch Later feature is disabled in tubeCore.
  • Various bug fixes.

I am brand new to Media Center but have been using PlayOn for a while.

So does this mean that it will work with PlayOn aside from the recent blog posting?

If so, I will be buying a copy today!

Awesome, I’m still stuck on Vista so can’t wait to see 2.5!

Apparently 2.5 has changed nothing according to playon. Come on Curtis! Get it done!

    Quote from playon forum:

“We are not testing Tubecore; There isn’t anything to test because the changes don’t appear to do much. We are waiting to discuss the changes with the developer of Tubecore. He has still not contacted us.”

Still not working with PlayOn.. Is there any plans to make a deal with them? I’m using the demo of Tubecore right now but there’s no point in me buying it if it won’t work with PlayOn.

The PlayOn website forum regarding tubecore says that they are still awaiting the Tubecore developer to contact them regarding version 2.6 to validate before they allow Tubecore access again to playon content. I have two friends that I would like to refer to start using Tubecore, however I can’t at the moment until it is once again working with PlayOn. I am also desparately waiting for this to work as well as I have been unable to use PlayOn since the active blocking was enabled by PlayOn. Curtis, please contact them so that we can all enjoy your great product again!

    I echo the other’s comments…
Curtis, your interface is great and I love that my extenders work beautifully! I am a huge fan. I would love to recommend tubeCore to my friends and family. But, until PlayOn works with it, I cannot.
Please be the bigger man, or whatever else it may take.
    Thanks

I need TubeCore to work with PlayOn again. FYI, I have a PlayOn and PlayLater lifetime license and it is not as good as what you had. I uninstalled it when it stopped working. I need an MCE plugin that works with Playon so I’ll try version 2.8 and see what improvements you’ve made. Got my fingers crossed.
