Don’t waste your time with this. If you’re wondering what this program is for and can’t figure it out from the descriptions here relax, it doesn’t do anything that Windows Media Center doesn’t already do better. The installation includes about 9 or 10 popup confirmations. The program won’t play MPEG2 files. Worst. Program. Ever.

You’re right that those popup confirmations are truly annoying. We’re getting rid of them and creating a unified install experience. There are also a bunch of bug fixes coming as well. Sorry your experience has been so negative. I hope you give tubeCore another chance when we release an update.

    Curtis:
    Hi, happy Friday-the 13th.

I am using a version of TC downloaded with a date of 5-11-2012, which I think was the latest one; it is exactly the same size as the one I just downloaded today, but without a date or version number, I can’t be sure what is the latest. Anyway PlayOn videos will not work within WMC on my system when I click on TubeCore. I have the lastest version of Flash (just installed) and of PlayOn. I can get to the list of icons (including Amazon), but when I click on it, my Amazon Video Library, the alphabetical listing, then on the letter, specifically on video I am interested, and choose Play Stream I get an error: The media player you are using is not supported by PlayOn. I have no idea what to do next, because I don’t know where the problem actually resides.

    Any suggestions?

    Regards,
    John E. Garst

@John – the same thing just happened to me. I had been using year-old versions of both until last week when the audio stream started playing while the video was still buffering. I checked here to see that the situation between tubeCentric & PlayOn was resolved, then updated both. Now I’m getting, “The media player you are using is not supported by PlayOn”, which is the same message everyone was getting when PlayOn put up the block.

Curtis, any idea what’s going on?

    Thanks,
    Adam
